Position Summary

 

Our growing Community Association Division specializes in forensic inspections and engineering design specifications for both capital improvements and remedial projects, as well as reserve studies, and more.  We are looking for a licensed civil engineer to support our community association group throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  The Civil Engineer will utilize technical design and leadership skills to work with our community association staff to provide design solutions and documentation to support the diverse community capital and remedial projects.  This position will be in our Wall Township office.  

Responsibilities

  • Prepare design plans and specifications associated with the capital improvements and remedial projects.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve grading, drainage, water infiltration, paving, retaining walls, landscaping, etc., deficiencies that occur on-site within existing common interest communities.
  • Compose technical reports and general correspondence.
  • Engineering design of pavement, grading and drainage improvements, ADA compliant improvements, soil erosion control plans, etc.
  • Identify and interpret municipal codes and ordinances and NJDEP regulations and is familiar with land use/development regulations.
  • Ability to apply provisions of ordinances and codes to determine compliance for proposed remediation.
  • Ability to communicate with Community Managers, Boards, etc., promptly reply to all phone and email requests, maintain a high level of customer service to all clients.

Qualifications

  • New Jersey licensed Professional Engineer required.
  • Permitting experience in NJDEP FHA, CAFRA, FWW, dewatering is a plus.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet applications. GIS and AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
