Summary

 

We are seeking a qualified land development engineer to join our dynamic and growing land development group. The land development project manager will provide leadership and mentoring of engineers and technicians, client management, and business development aimed to grow and expand our land development practice.  The project manager will be responsible for technical design, client coordination, public presentations, project financial success, budgets, schedules, and quality control for a wide range of projects and assignments. The ideal candidate is a self-driven individual who is looking to expand their career, explore new opportunities and challenges, and be a key player in expanding and growing our practice in the region. This position will support our Cherry Hill, NJ and Doylestown, PA locations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager on land development projects including commercial, industrial, residential, warehousing, office, retail, and public infrastructure projects. 
  • Manage project stakeholders including client, project team, outside consultants and subconsultants.
  • Manage projects from concept development through construction administration.
  • Lead a project team and provide mentorship and development of staff.
  • Coordination of project assignments, oversight of the efforts of project staff
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Project budgeting and financial management of projects
  • Scheduling of projects and staff to meet client goals.
  • Technical design leader for land development projects including layout, grading, stormwater management, soil erosion and utilities.
  • Prepare and manage production of design drawings and Technical Reports
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control
  • Guide coordination of projects through the regulatory review and approval process
  • Presentation of projects at local Planning/Zoning Boards
  • Development and Maintenance of successful client relationships and lead business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities and proposal preparation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
  • 8-12 Years Land Development Experience with progressively responsible project roles
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Professional Engineers License
  • Knowledge of the local municipal, county, and state land use, planning and zoning processes and regulations (NJ).
  • Experience with land development regulatory process and jurisdictional agencies
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Hydrology/Hydraulic Software, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point
  • Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development related designs
  • Experience in client coordination and management
  • Experience in project financial responsibility and reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget
