Responsibilities

  • Plumbing, Process and Fire Protection design and construction phase activities for projects in the Education, Real Estate, Pharma/Biotech, Infrastructure and Energy sectors.
  • Includes performing site investigations, systems analysis, calculations and design.
  • Development of conceptual design alternatives.
  • Development of construction documents including drawings and specifications.
  • Development and presentation of reports.
  • Effective coordination with other design disciplines.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years or more U.S. experience in Plumbing, Process and Fire Protection.
  • BS or BE in Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineering license a plus.
  • Experience with commercial, hospitality, school, university and biotech/pharma projects is desired.
  • Experience with typical plumbing systems is required, including sanitary waste, domestic water, storm water, fuel gas systems.
  • Experience or familiarity with specialty plumbing systems is highly desired, including laboratory, process and medical air, gas, vacuum, water and waste systems, and commercial kitchen design.
  • Experience or familiarity with fire protection systems is required, including wet, dry, deluge, pre-action sprinkler systems, chemical extinguishing systems, and standpipe systems.
  • Experience or familiarity with sustainable Plumbing design is desired (e.g., LEED, EPA WaterSense, Energy Star, etc.).
  • Good computer, communication and presentation skills are required..
  • Knowledge of Revit and AutoCad required
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler hydraulic calculation software is a plus (e.g., Hass, Autosprink, Hydracalc, etc.).
  • Experience with HVAC is also a plus.
